Life. Death. Violence. Sex. Drugs. Sports. Entertainment. The triumphs, tragedies, and unexplainable mysteries of this thing called life on Planet Earth. This tumblr is my small way of communicating my ideas, influences, likes, dislikes, and everything else to the world through effective visual and audio media. Some of the content on here will amaze you. Some of it will shock you. Some of it might even offend you. Whatever the response it illicits, as long as I can derive feelings from the viewer, I feel as if I have accomplished my mission. This blog is a product of a man who was shaped by the boredom of suburban life, the rebelliousness of youth culture, the ecclecticism of urban life, and the fecundity of the world in general. This site occasionally features nudity and sexual content presented in a tasteful manner...so don't look at it at work and you must be 18+ to venture on through.

All pictures not done by me are credited to the original photographer/artist. I'm not a biter. But some folks on this piece unfortunately don't put those details out so don't blame me...it takes a long time to research who did what so I'll do it if neccessary because the one thing we need in this generation is a wealth of cultural artifactsphotos going around without any notion of where they came from.

All In The Family Records: Spring 2012

All In The Family Records on Tumblr (Currently under reconstruction)

All In The Family Records on Bandcamp

All In The Family Records is a electronic music label that was started by me back in July of 2011. Basically, as a producer, I decided to start this up as a little thing to put music by myself and friends and associates on. Currently boasting 6 releases, but the label will be putting out more material this month and for the rest of the year. Here is the current discography (click on pictures to stream/download from Bandcamp).

Current Releases (Updated 4/8/2012)

The long awaited full length from The Lone Ranger is finally here! The Lone Ranger is the alias of Pittsburgh, PA based producer/DJ Temisan Adoki. After two successful ventures under the Lone Ranger moniker on All In The Family records, Adoki pulls out the stops for this 13-track album of heady and deep house music. The atmosphere of this record is all over the place, yet controlled to fit the demeanor of The Lone Ranger project. It conveys many emotion, but all in all, it rests as yet another conceptual house music record that defies convention. The formula that made the first Lone Ranger records special is all here with additional weird production and special touches. The first All In The Family release of 2012. And long overdue as well.

T. Madel is a producer and music enthusiast of many years. “Permanent Nights” is a welcome edition to the evergrowing catalogue of music presented by All In The Family Records. Recorded on a trip to Jamaica in the Summer of 2011, this album is a chilled out collection of cheeky synths, alternative drum programming, and generally smooth and relaxed vibes.

Kozy Emperor is a brand new side project from Pittsburgh, PA based Producer/DJ Temisan Adoki. A jack of all trades, Adoki takes his knowledge of electronic music to create a very forward thinking EP of self-proclaimed “luvstep”. Reminscent of Hotflush Records and Hyperdub, there are no moments of extreme wubbiness to be found on this release. Stripping away the contemporary definition of dubstep, “Astral Projection” is a smooth collection of tracks.

The Lone Ranger returns with another EP. On “Depth Perception”, The Lone Ranger (aka Temisan Adoki) takes his style into a very progressive direction. Since the time of the first Lone Ranger release and this one, alot has changed. “Depth Perception” is still deeply rooted in house and techno, but takes on progressive and deep house elements as well with a little bit of R&B influence. The brand of house music that Adoki pushes as the Lone Ranger is constantly evolving, and as this EP proves, it’s not a bad thing at all.

“Bathwater” opens up the EP with thumping bass kicks, hard snares, rolling percussion, bubbly synths, and crystallized reverb. “Submersion Vehicle” takes a very smooth detour with slick vocal samples, sexy keys, minimal drums, and standout chords. “Open Dimension” has a slightly more darker approach to it, employing 8-bit noises and a jacking bass groove. And “Today is Not Tommorrow” finishes the EP on a lighter note with a very surprising sound.

“The Evidence 02-03” is a collection of tracks made by Temisan Adoki from fall of 2002 to spring of 2003. Before Adoki began exploring the territories of House, Techno, Hip-Hop, and proper electronica, he was a huge fan and producer of Experimental electronica and IDM. Adoki admits that his influences at this time ranged from Autechre to Yasunao Tone. All of the tracks on this album showcase this greatly, as the sounds switch from ambient soundscapes to harsh digitally manifested noise. But this isn’t a collection of extremely freeform tracks, there is a very innate structure to all of these tracks that are emphasized by computer glitches, 8-bit noises, dissected vocal samples, and alternate styles of production. Considering that these were recorded in 2002-2003, it’s amazing how these tracks still hold up today in the post-digital era. This album is not just a great representation of Adoki’s work, but also hold as a audible sample of what life was like in the years immediately following 9/11. Where the internet was gaining massive popularity, music making programs were becoming increasingly easier to obtain, and computers were becoming a mainstay in the vessels of society.

You can grab this and all of our releases on our Bandcamp page.

Unregistered is the latest release from Pittsburgh, PA producer/DJ Temisan Adoki. Although it’s only two tracks, Unregisted is a very solid effort from Adoki. After a hiatus of two years, Adoki has released material this year under his name and under his Lone Ranger alias, which focuses on very layered and lush deep house with tech house and minimal sensibilities. On “Unregistered”, Adoki displays his production skills on tracks that range from dubbed out and chilly electronica to finely tuned yet glitchy downtempo with hip-hop influences. When he’s not making dance music, Adoki can be found taking his myriad of influences to his productions. Pure head electronica for the bedroom DJs, producers, and music enthusiasts of the world.

In my own words:

“First EP and release I’ve done in a while. Basically I adopted the Lone Ranger moniker mainly because I always wanted to record under that name…my main inspiration was the Q-Tip release that came out under the same name in the 90s. First legitimate attempt at quality and finely crafted house music. I’m very proud of what came out after it was all said and done. I made all of these tracks on Maschine and edited them on Acid Pro. Enjoy.”
